Breathe with Pilates

Pilates in Brighton & Hove

Integrating Pilates into your fitness programme offers numerous benefits that extend beyond the conventional workout. This low-impact exercise method focuses on enhancing core strength, flexibility, and overall muscular
endurance. By emphasising controlled movements and precise alignment, Pilates helps balance the mind and body, making it an effective way to de-stress from the demands of life. Offering a gentle yet effective way to define muscles. Pilates improves posture and heightens body awareness, helping you achieve the results you want.

One-on-one Pilates sessions are a great place to start if you’re a beginner. I will tailor the session to meet your specific needs, providing a focused and attentive space for honing techniques and maximising results.

I often begin my sessions with a Pilates-themed warm-up. It’s excellent preparation for any weight training session, and the static stretches can serve as a pleasant way to cool down afterwards.

Personal Trainer, Pilates Training - Martha Woollard, Brighton & Hove
Before starting with a PT, I had years of upper back, shoulder and neck pain that was seriously impacting my quality of life. I wanted to exercise but was never confident enough to know what I could do without making things worse. Martha has been working with me to improve my mobility and strength. My mobility has improved considerably and I’m amazed what I’m now able to do (including weight training). Martha has introduced me to a new way of exercising which I love..and I’m already feeling the benefits. I would be very happy to recommend Martha.
